First Look at Makerspaces in Massachusetts

MassDevelopment has commissioned and released a report titled “Innovation in Manufacturing: Makerspaces,” a first-ever inventory of makerspaces in the Commonwealth that defines what they are and what can be done to help them grow. The report, posted here, defines makerspaces as “evolving hotbeds of innovation” where woodworkers, sculptors, robotics engineers, machinists, and printmakers can participate as members or rent incubator to buy ativan online us space. Seven Massachusetts makerspaces are in the early stages of growth, while two have rapidly advanced to the growth stage and one – Fab Labs, developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – is in the mature stage. Andrea Foertsch of Melrose Real Estate Strategies prepared the report.
