And you can join us at the rally and on Wednesday\, April 19\, to make posters for yourself or others to carry at the event. \nWe’ll have acrylic paint\, markers\, and some posterboard on hand. Bring any other materials you wish to use or share with the group. Note: nothing that can be used as a weapon\, so no sticks to hold the posters. DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re interested in databases\, plumbing\, or social media\, Boston Makers has a volunteer opportunity for you. Join us every second Tuesday of the month from 7-9 p.m. to help with committee tasks. As of June 2016\, these include: \n\nspace fixes\, installing a sink\, doing inventory of all our new and donated equipment\, organizing to make the space more usable for all\nhelping us reinstall CiviCRM to track donations and set up class registrations\nsocial media and website updates–everything from updating plugins to editing photos and scheduling posts on Facebook and Twitter.\nTBD (there’s always work to do in a makerspace!)\n\nWe require all regular volunteers to attend a Volunteer Orientation. No RSVP is necessary for orientation or committee meetings\, and all (ages 18 and up) are welcome!

Join our program for hands-on experience with one of JP NET’s community-based projects–such as the Boston Food Forest\, Time Exchange\, ​or Bilingual Event Series​. We also provide personalized career coaching and tailored support. \nYou’ll develop versatile and tangible skills such as project development\, communications\, writing\, public speaking\, event planning\, and organizing. And you’ll work with cutting-edge thinkers and doers who are reshaping our community and our world to meet today’s challenges\, such as inequality\, climate change\, and social isolation. \nDiversity is a core strength of our program. Fellows come from all over Boston\, and are diverse in terms of race\, class\, age\, and sexual orientation. \nThe CLF believes that every person has a role to play in creating the future we want. Let us help you find yours. \nHow It Works \nThe purpose of the CLF is to help you develop essential leadership skills through hands-on experience and practical career planning. \n\nHands-On Work: As a Fellow\, you will spend 8 hours per week working on one of JP NET’s projects. You’ll make substantial\, concrete contributions to improve the community.\nProfessional Coaching: You will have three one-on-one Professional Coaching sessions throughout the Fellowship (one three-hour Professional Development session and two one-hour sessions).
