SUMMARY:Medical Residency Event: Custom Laser Cut Stethoscope Name Tags
DESCRIPTION:2-Hour Session to make custom laser cut stethoscope name tags. Our session for MGH residents will include a tour of Boston Makers\, the basics of what laser cutting is\, and an overview of how the process works. Then we will laser cut and personalize one-of-a-kind name tags for our stethoscopes! \nLaser cutting is a technology that harnesses the energy of light by focusing a beam so tightly that it is able to engrave and even cut materials. At Boston Makers\, we have a Trotec Speedy 100 Laser Cutter\, which we use to cut a variety of media: paper\, cardboard\, MDF\, plywood\, leather\, and acrylic! \n  \nInstructors: Kathy May Tran and Silas Wang \nClass Cost:  N|A \nMaterials Needed: Please bring your own stethoscope(s) for customization. \n  \n
