Girl Makers and Coders Program

April 2, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, happening 8 times

Free

This free program is a collaboration with the Boston Public Library, designed for teen girls (middle school through high school) who enjoy designing, making things with their hands, tinkering, and who want to learn how to code. They will have a chance to unleash their creativity and create something that thousands will see. The girls will work in small teams to design and build an interactive electronics project with colorful LEDs controlled by sensors and their code, which they will transfer to a microcontroller. The program will run for eight weeks at the Boston Central Public Library on Saturdays beginning April 2, 2016.

Register by emailing teencentral [at] bpl [dot] org or calling 617-859-2334.
