Wake Up the Earth!

It’s springtime, and here in Jamaica Plain, that means it’s time for the Wake Up the Earth festival, an annual celebration of neighborhood people power. Organized by local nonprofit Spontaneous Celebrations, WUTE features a parade, food and art vendors, and activities for all ages on the greenway south of Stony Brook T station.

Boston Makers will be participating this year with the debut of our Microcontroller Club’s Spin Cycle! Pedal your way to a masterpiece with this bike-powered spin art machine. We supply the paint and some paper; you bring any other fabric or paper you’d like to paint on. Please help us cover the cost of paint with a suggested donation.
