On October 31st, we worked with the Hyde Square Task Force teens to build a fun Halloween interactive for young children to enjoy after the Main Streets Trick or Treat Parade. They made 24 plastic pumpkins light up and rock to the music in front of the Blessed Sacrament church during the HSTF’s first Halloween Festival.
The Friends of the Connolly Library Halloween Party and Neighborhood Stroll ended at the Festival and then families and community members enjoyed games, prizes, candy, refreshments, and fun for all ages. Festival activities included: a haunted house next to the plaza, hosted by Re/Max Destiny, a dance floor with dance games, spooky decorations, and more. Refreshments and candy were generously provided by the United Latino Entrepreneurs.
